The Selling Process at Auction Your Cask

Auction Your Cask runs leading live whisky auctions in the UK. We provide sellers of casks with a straightforward, simple auction that will expose their cask to a maximum audience. If you would like to sell your cask, then this is a very easy and stress-free process. First of all, you will need to get in touch with our team, providing us with the details of your cask. Our attentive team will respond to you shortly, confirming the provenance and ownership of your cask in accordance with our counterfeit policy. 

We require a 70cl sample from your cask, so that potential bidders can sample the whisky. As well as this, our team will write tasting notes and discuss a re-gauge if necessary. We can request a re-gauge and sample at the same time. Following this, our specialists will work closely with you to determine a valuation and an auction estimate range based on our extensive market knowledge and experience. We can accommodate a reserve price at no additional cost, which will be agreed mutually with us. 

When payment has been received for your cask, Auction Your Cask will transfer the funds to you within 21 working days. Once we’ve received all the required due diligence, we will request payment from the winning bidder within 7 working days from the invoice date. After payment has been received from the winning bidder, we will organise the transfer of ownership of the cask into the Buyer’s name.
