The 2nd auction is coming soon - what can you expect?

whisky auction

The 1st auction was a great success and the 2nd one will be even bigger and better!

Starting on 14 August 2020, it will last 10 days and end on Sunday 23 August. Don't forget to sign up if you wish to gain access to the live auction once it's started. However, we are excited to share a preview of some of the entering casks now!

Craigellachie - 2013, Hogshead

Set in the popular town of Craigellachie, just a stone’s throw away from the famous Macallan distillery; this hogshead has matured for over 7 years. The short, squat stills and old-fashioned copper worm-tub condensers result in Craigellachie being a distinctively rich, full bodied and spicy. The distillery's own 13 year old release has won numerous rewards, whilst the 31 year old won best whisky in the world in 2017.

Glen Ord - 2015, Barrel

We are pleased to have TWO sister casks to the Glen Ord (Cask Number 101) that sold in our 1st auction for £3,000. This was our most popular and most bid on cask and it is easy to see why. Glen Ord has a fantastic reputation amongst independent bottlers making it a perfect mid-term investment. We would expect these to be bottled as early as 10 years old.

Teaninich - 2013, Hogshead

From Taigh an Aonaich, meaning ‘house on the hill’.

Renowned as one of the main constituents of Johnnie Walker, Teaninich’s short and squat stills are known for remarkably full bodied whisky, yet the flavours are distinctively delicate and fragrant. Bottled as a 10 year old by distillery owners Diageo, we believe this could be truly delicious at that age or allowed to age many more years.teaninich

Glen Moray - 2016, Barrel

Since being purchased by La Martiniquaise, Glen Moray has benefited from an ambitious expansion. With a host of new releases the distillery has re-established itself as a big name in Speyside whisky. In 2018, the distillery produced five times as much spirit as it did in 1897, showing the growing demand globally for this fine classic Speyside malt. Recent releases have won a glut of awards at the last world whisky awards including their PX cask finish.
