The highly anticipated Autumn Auction came to a close yesterday, Thursday, October 28th and the results did not disappoint…
 
As ever, the bidding wars erupted over the 1995 Springbank Refill Sherry Hogshead, which ended up breaking an Auction Your Cask record, selling for an incredible £80,000! This surpassed the previous auction record of the 1994 Springbank Sherry Hogshead, which went for £71,000 in an auction earlier this year.
 
As always, there was a flurry of determined last-minute bidders, resulting in lots of the casks meeting their reserve prices. Other highlights included the Tullibardine which sold for £3,000, the Ben Nevis for £6,000 and the Linkwood which went for £6,000 also. As ever, the majority of the remaining casks will be sold privately to buyers in the aftermath of the auction.
